Turin will be the arena of the European final of the 17th edition of Bocuse d'Or, the top gastronomic competition conceived by incomparable Paul Bocuse over 30 years ago, in 1987. Twenty young chefs, winners of the relevant national competitions, will compete to win a place for the world final that will take place in January 2019 in Lyon, France, on the occasion of Sirha. The honorary President of the European jury will be 3-Michelin star chef Enrico Crippa, President of Accademia Bocuse D'Or Italia.
One can undoubtedly say that Bocuse d'Or has become the highest expression of research and innovation in global gastronomy. And it is in this fascinating framework that BluRhapsody, which has turned innovation and the pursuit of excellence into its flagship, will display some of its spectacular 3D pasta creations. A selection of its projects, designed to trigger the creativity of top chefs, will be displayed at a booth organized as an actual art gallery.
On the opening night of Sunday 10th June, from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm, in the opening ceremony and welcome buffet BluRhapsody will offer participants a tasting of two of its most beloved 3D pasta shapes, interpreted, as usual, by starred chef Roberto Rossi: Kalpis and Sfera. Kalpis, with its spectacular ancient amphora shape, will stand out even more due to the eye-catching recipe that will be used to present it to the guests of the event: it will be a valuable vase enclosing a small garden, obtained using a base of pea cream decorated with coloured shoots. Sfera will be presented in a more austere, but equally spectacular way: it will indeed be stuffed with delicate carbonara cream and garnished with crispy pancetta, for an authentic explosion of flavour.
